We’re in the Rough
For all of us golf fans, it’s a great weekend as the granddaddy of the majors kicked off yesterday. That’s right; the 151st Open Championship teed off at Royal Liverpool in England. We all have favorites, but this person (based on my lineage) is pulling for the young man from Hollywood (Northern Ireland).
Interestingly, Liverpool is also home to four kids who came to America and brought a new-fangled sound called rock and roll.
We are also in the thick of summer, and we all know that can be a hectic time in the construction world. Talented women and men are working tirelessly to build new laboratories, academic institutions, data centers, hospitals, and more.
If you have looked at the news, however, you will also have seen that we are dealing with one of the more severe stretches of heat than we have seen in quite some time, both here in the United States and worldwide. That can make for some rather adverse conditions for construction projects and workers on site.
