We are currently seeking a SAIPA Article Trainee to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This role offers invaluable experience and growth opportunities in the accounting field, ideal for SAIPA candidates and graduates in BCom Accounting.

Are you a recent BCom Accounting graduate eager to start your career NOW or In 2025 in the dynamic field of finance and accounting? Look no further! We are partnering with prestigious accounting firms to recruit enthusiastic and driven individuals to join their teams as Trainee Accountants. Newly Graduates with a minimum of no work experience, OR vaction work experience, OR 2 years of maximum work experience! Afrikaans Advantageous!

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents for various clients.
• Perform monthly accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance for both individual and business clients.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Draft annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service.
• Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree as prescribed by SAIPA.
• Previous bookkeeping experience is advantageous.
• Candidates must already be residing in Cape Town or surrounding areas. We won’t be conducting any virtual interviews, unfortunately.
• Either have your own laptop with the following specs: i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Windows 10/11 Professional (we will "rent" it from you for R200 per month over and above normal remuneration), or be willing to join our company laptop scheme after a 3-month probation period. (This is not a prerequisite.)
