So, with all of this in mind, Adam Mosseri, the Head of Instagram, tells us the top three priorities the platform will be focusing on for 2023:

  • Inspiration: Instagram wants to inspire its users to be more creative when it comes to creating content and engaging with their audience. In response, you will be seeing more visualization tools for editing videos or photos.
  • Discovery: There will be more of a focus on encouraging their users to discover new accounts that focus on their interests and what they enjoy. That means the algorithm will be pushing more new creators and pages your way.
  • Connections: In an effort to help users spark more connections with others on the platform, Instagram will be opening up additional opportunities to share posts or messages to smaller, more private groups.
