Project management is a challenging career, but it’s also quite rewarding. So, if you’re thinking about diving into a project management career, you’ll need to know a little about what you can expect.
Every Day is Different
Every project is unique and every day will look different as a project manager.
This might be good news for you if you really like variety. With each new project, you’ll come across new challenges. On every project, you’ll have a new team and work with new people. Having such a variety of experiences means that you’ll learn a lot along the way.
Over the course of your project management career, you’ll take on many different roles. You’ll be a coach, mentor, cat herder, and team builder at different times, depending on the needs of your team.

Professional Growth
Not all jobs have a clear career path, but project management careers tend to have a straight-line trajectory from starting at an entry level and working your way up as you become more experienced.
There are many different project job titles from entry to executive as you move forward with your career. You might start your path out as a project coordinator and then an assistant project manager, project manager, senior project manager, and you may even end up in a director or VP position.
It really depends on your career goals, but overall, there is a lot you can do with project management!
