What will happen with the “take your number” way?
With the beginning of these unprecedented changes as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we foresee that society will hardly return to previous customs before Covid-19 and some will remain as is the case with pre-scheduled appointments.
Until a few weeks ago, it was very common to go and do some paperwork, pay a bill or meet someone at customer service and look for the “take your number” dispenser with a combination of digital display. As simple as that, taking out a number and waiting for your turn, knowing that, if you're lucky, it might take you an hour, but if your luck isn't that good, you'll be a captive for a long time and hard to know the end. Do you remember?
Well, in this change of times and new ways of doing things, which Covid-19 will leave to us, the scheduled appointments will be the norm from now on. This is something I mentioned in my blog "Are appointments made easy?"
What should you expect? You'll be looking to schedule an appointment, sitting comfortably somewhere and at any time, with your doctor, hairdresser, mechanic, to talk to your account executive, etc. and when you arrive a few minutes before the scheduled appointment, you'll know very well the time you'd leave and that will help reduce the unnecessary crowding of people anywhere. Simply put, you'll be in control of your time.
In my case, I hope that all those companies, private and public, will offer a simple and effective way to make appointments in advance for all their interactions that I (we) must make in their offices. And better if Kairos365SCH is used.
