How’s Labor Day Weekend looking? The weather is going to run the gamut. Yes, I said gamut. I love the use of rare words for the purpose of salience. I can be jocose. What was I talking about? The weather forecast! It is subject to change because … Northeast Ohio reasons … but right now, it looks like Friday will be hot with a chance of strong storms later in the day, Saturday will see temps drop with maybe some rain, Sunday will be summery, and Monday will feel September. Retired Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court has some words for our Secretary of State: “Frank LaRose, acting as the leader of a faction intent on preserving political power, has manipulated the ballot language for Issue 1, a redistricting reform amendment in Ohio that is on the ballot this Nov. 5,” writes Maureen O’Connor, who has been leading the efforts to end gerrymandering in Ohio. She writes like a Supreme Court justice, and I mean that in a good way.

It’s that time of year: Time for the annual Browns Season Preview Special tonight at 8 p.m. on News 5. How will the Browns do this season? I think they’ll go 11-6. Or 5-12. I don’t know. I have no idea about this team. Everything about them makes me nervous. But it could just be classic Cleveland Sports Fan PTSD.
