What have you just signed? Part 1

What have you just signed? Part 1

I cannot believe in an age where most cowboys have been forced out of the industry that there is still a large element still firmly sat at the table taking money off people without their knowledge until its too late.

So, what have you just signed when the sales man or the service engineer asks for a signature?

Here is a tale that have happened in the last 12 months.

Client: I want my copier moved, how much will that cost?

Salesman: That will cost £500

Client: But that’s a little expensive is there anything you can do?

Salesman: No problem just sign here and we will just do it for you!

Client: That’s great Thanks

This sounds good Customer service doesn’t it? But what did she sign?

A refinance document that means they have paid £2500 and have to keep the machine for another 3 years on lease.

Surely, she has to be a Director, a Managing Director or a Manager? No actually the finance company just paid the company / Salesman and it would cost too much to unpick the deal. Because they were moving it took 6 months to realise something wasn’t right. When they asked for their contract end date they were shocked to find out it was 3 years more than expected.

Now the client will never use that copier company again, but, they don’t care as they have their money and they churn 10% or more of their clients every year.

So, make sure no one signs anything without taking a copy.

Archway have a clear and transparent policy on all documents signed. They will be copied and left with the client if it is to do with finance or contracts.

“Because we care”

Having worked in this industry for many years, I have seen plenty of this going on and been in the unfortunate position of trying to resolve such issues. As a service orientated individual I would always advise clients to be very careful and having known Phil Johnson for many years, I know he shares the same ethics as myself and you are guaranteed an honest and suitable solution.
