What is The Hidden Threat to Your Business Success in 2025?

Are You Ready for AI?

The marketing game is changing fast. And the days of relying on 10 blue links to drive traffic? Gone...

Here’s the hidden truth: being great at what you do isn’t enough!  If you’re not adapting to how AI is reshaping search and content, you’re leaving opportunities (and revenue) on the table.

In case you missed my last post, I shared some key tips to help you stay ahead in your marketing game.

  • Own Your Audience with Email
  • Create Content That Answers Questions - Mostly videos
  • Show the Human Side of Your Business
  • Leverage Multimedia
  • Make Content Simple and Credible

What's happening ?

AI Overviews (AIOs) are dominating Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs):

👉 AIOs show up in 28.11% of searches.

👉 Five words queries trigger AI Overviews more frequently and include common terms such as "safety", "tips", "practices", “manage”, "understanding", "importance’, and  "prepare"

👉 They’re triggered also by informational queries ( ‘’What’’ “How” or “Best”).

👉 They’re almost always paired with “People Also Ask” and other features like images, videos, and forums.

When I run my own searches on Google using a smartphone, here’s the typical layout I see:

  • AI Overview (AIO) at the very top
  • Images
  • Google My Business listings (which, surprisingly, many brands overlook)
  • People Also Ask: Common queries like “what,” “how,” and “why”
  • Blue links
  • Videos

According to Advanced Web Ranking, AI Overviews (AIOs) often appear alongside other key SERP features, fundamentally changing how search results are presented.

Here’s how the numbers break down:

  •  People Also Ask: Accompanies AIOs in 99.5% of cases, offering additional questions like "what," "how," and "why."
  • Videos: Appear in 69.7% of cases, highlighting the increasing importance of visual content.
  • Featured Snippets: Present in 59.5% of cases, providing concise, immediate answers.
  • Discussions & Forums: Included in 58.8% of cases, adding user-generated insights to search results.
  • Images: Show up in 30.5% of cases, adding a visual layer to the information.

What This Means for Your Content Strategy?

This data underscores many critical points:

  • Written content alone is no longer sufficient to stay competitive in search results. To optimize for AI-driven SERPs:
  • Craft content that directly addresses common user questions (e.g., “how to,”why ''what “best practices”).
  • Don’t overlook Google My Business—it’s a key feature, especially for local searches.
  • Use Multimedia: Pair your content with visuals, videos, and infographics—AI loves it, and so do people.
  • Invest in Your Brand: Build awareness so people search for you, not just general answers.
  • Cite and Simplify: Use statistics, expert quotes, and lists to make your content credible and easy to digest.

By diversifying your content with multimedia and focusing on relevance, you’ll better position your brand for AI-powered search results.

BOFU Beats TOFU in 2025

AI answers quick-fire questions in seconds, so you need to shift your content focus:

  • Spend less time on TOFU (Top of Funnel) content.
  • Invest in BOFU (Bottom of Funnel) content that answers highly specific questions and drives action.

Final Thoughts

Your greatest strength in 2025 will be creating content that delivers real value. Focus on answering the questions your audience is already asking, and don’t shy away from using stats, quotes, and visuals to make your content shine.

The digital landscape changes fast—but by staying adaptable and audience-focused, you’ll always stay ahead.
