What is Innovation?

Ask yourself this question today. Most of the people reading this post will google it right away to check if what they are thinking is actually correct literally or not? I did that too, before writing this post, I googled innovation and I am sharing my experience here.

In our professional/personal life and in our commercial setup we have created a huge image of Innovation and we have created a hype around it. We have created even different community named "Innovators" but to your surprise, we all are innovators in our own way and more surprisingly, you all are telling this to yourself now while reading it that, "Yes, we know that!! why to write this post for it."

OK, I agree you know that. I agree you realize, that your cab driver was innovating today when he took a new route and saved your 5 minutes. I agree that you know, cook in that cafe where you had your breakfast was innovating and that's how you got your order maybe 2-3 minutes before time (we are not taking taste into consideration here :P)

I agree, you knew that your team kept your folder ready and documents in way that it saved time of all the attendees in a meeting, is innovation. I agree that you know, when you stopped your cab before the traffic light and walked for 500 meters which saved you & your cab driver 15 minutes was Innovation.

The point in talking about all this is "We know, we all are innovators, but do we give our self that credit or respect?"

How an innovating mind grow from small day to day innovations to world changing innovations? Please ask yourself this question too.

To grow something, you need to feed that whether it is a plant, an idea or a quality like Innovation.

So, smile at yourself, give yourself credit whenever you are innovating. I know, you know this too. But, just wanted to write to remind those who are don't.
