A persons Professional Reputation- can it potentially replace the CV?

A CV or a Professional Reputation Resumè? What would make it to the next round in a hiring process. A CV with a persons history or a persons Professional Reputation that will give you a sense of what she/he will be able to achieve?

What are your thoughts?
