What is Self Intelligence?
What is self-intelligence?
About 10 years ago, I started listening to Tony Robbins.
I was introduced to the CD set called personal power.
One of the things that Tony spoke about was how you see yourself.
Anthony Robbins qoute:
“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's
greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending
commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may
sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their
dreams from those who live in regret.”
5 am every single morning for 30 days, I listen to the CD box set, I did the exercises, And I really broke down, how I saw myself, how I got to where I am, whom I see myself becoming, and also understanding what I truly want in life.
Then I created my own, a set of fundamentals, around self-intelligence.
I created these seven pillars so that I could help myself during the addiction phase of my life, nearly 2 1/2 decades.
When we truly understand our own self-intelligence, we are able to navigate and articulate ourselves better through this world.
I believe it comprises seven areas of self.
Self-image.
Self-worth.
Self-belief.
Self-awareness.
Self-education.

Dance with me in thought, about how our own.
Self-Image can set us up for a consistent trajectory of growth doing life with ease, or keep us stuck, white-knuckled at the wheel doing life hard.
I describe self-image, as the future self that you want to become.
The person that you can see yourself, as, the way you dress, the way you style your hair, the way you look after yourself, the shape of your body as it changes, the person you become, when you go to the gym, the person that you could visualize who eats healthier who drinks healthier foods.
Ichiro Kishimi mentions this in his book. The Courage to Be Disliked:
“A healthy feeling of inferiority is not something that comes from comparing oneself to others; it comes from one’s comparison with one’s ideal self.”
Throughout my study in my research, I learnt all about how children use a superiority complex, how they lie, and how they want to feel superior to other kids to feel a level of validation.
When I read the book, the courage to be disliked, what stood out for me in the context of self-image, was to really understand, that, instead of comparing ourselves to others in an inferior way, like the quote above, is to compare ourselves in an inferior way to our ideal self.
In really simple terms, if we continue to create the ideal self that we want to become, the ideal self is superior to our current inferior self. Therefore, we keep striving to be better.
What did this quote make you think about?
Regarding your self-image
And I believe that when we are able to paint a picture in our mind of who we want to become, and live congruently, We need alignment with that person, the potential of whom we want to become.
I will also use the metaphor of a superhero, I believe that a superhero dresses in their ideal self, they want to dress up as the superhero which portrays the self-image of whom they want to be all the time.
However, due to the fear of being found out in society, I believe there is also a fear behind there would be no need for a superhero.
I also believe our self-image is very empowering for our continuous growth, to always continuously and slowly grow day by day to be better than what we were yesterday.
As I reflect upon self-image, I also want to share that self-esteem increases more as we are able to future pace, and believe in our potential, which is a huge reflection of the belief we have in our self-image of the future self.
This also ties greatly into one of my firm beliefs about addiction, the problem isn’t just the addiction. The problem is the life that the addiction is denying us from living!
Do you believe in the person that you will be coming to?
