If you’ve ever had a great boss, you know the importance of strong leadership and how it positively impacts your career. Think of any great team, real or fictional, and examine how effective leadership promotes success: the 1990’s Chicago Bulls, the Fellowship of the Ring, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Now think about these groups without their leaders. Where would they be?

As a leader, it is essential to represent what you want to see in your staff, employees, or group members. Leadership by example; imparting your knowledge gained through years of experience is an essential component of successful leaders. Often, teams derive the motivation to work collaboratively towards a common goal from the person who lays the groundwork for them – the leader.
