WHAT A WEEK!
It's been a busy week this week with back to back appointments and meetings with progress being made all the time.
Firstly, I'm delighted we have another member of NNBN joining meaning we have reached 100 members. Considering we launched in February this year, we're over the moon with the progress and long may it continue!
We're also ending the week with 57 people booked in for our networking event on Monday at The Chester House Estate and driving forwards with great pace.
This week I attended the Good Business Charter event where we heard from three members who talked through what they were doing to meet the 10 objectives of the charter and we're delighted to be a member of the GBC providing a framework of what we're working towards. Earlier on Tuesday, I attended our Board Meeting of the Kettering Community Business Centre Development Trust and I thoroughly enjoy our bi-monthly meeting as I always learn something from my fellow Board Members which helps in my own learning.
I also wrote to all our town councils in North Northamptonshire inviting them to participate in this year's Small Business Saturday campaign and it's great that three of them have responded to say they would be taking part in some way. It's key that local authorities support our businesses as keeping our local communities moving forwards will be key going forward.

On Wednesday I was invited to a VIP lunch where Chief Economist from the Bank of England, Huw Pill, presented to the delegates from across the East Midlands that the bank are forecasting a two year recession with recovery to 2% above inflation in 2025. This was great to be in the room and to be able to speak to others about the challenges that lay ahead for our community.
Yesterday I sat the second half of my Institute of Leadership & Management Course Level 3 in Business Mentoring and look forward to progressing this journey. By learning more myself, I can give more to our community and help those who need assistance and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead.
Today I attended the launch of the North Northants Community Welfare forum which brings key representatives of organisations together from across North Northamptonshire in Corby, Wellingborough, Kettering and Rushden to talk through challenges relating to health and, again, I'm grateful to have been invited to sit on this forum in North Northamptonshire to ensure our community has an input.
Next week is equally as active and busy and I'm expecting another busy week ahead. I'm not complaining though, it's great to be able to play a part in our community in North Northamptonshire and focus on moving forward.
