Believe it or not, the #1 cause of fatal single-car run-off-the-road crashes (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) isn’t alcohol or cell phone related!
Shockingly, it’s the LACK of SLEEP !
Reaction time is essential when driving, I am sure we would all agree. It's a basic component of safe driving and calculated decision making. And the lack of sleep impairs both.
Insufficient sleep, even for 1-night, has the same impact on driving skills as does an alcoholic drink.
Therefore, a good night’s sleep is essential, not only for your health but for your safety.
4- TIPS TO GET BETTER NIGHTS SLEEP:
1. Essential oils diffused are known to help you sleep, like - Cedarwood, Bergamot, and Lavender. Cedarwood works for me;-)
2. Dim the lights early to signal your brain it is time to sleep
3. Turn off electronic devices that interfere with natural melatonin production at least 30 minutes or more before going to bed.
4. Avoid caffeine any time near bedtime (4 hrs)
Driving tired is a big problem and could be deadly. Don’t do it.
