Call for Applications for Chair of the GBTA Europe Advisory Board

With Ben Park’s election to the Global Board of Directors we are seeking applications for the Chair of the GBTA Europe Advisory Board. We are looking for candidates with a strong record in leadership; volunteering; excellent industry knowledge; strategic vision for GBTA Europe and the role of the Board and they must have the support of their employer to actively participate in the monthly Board meetings and in person meeting at conference. The specific selection criteria against which we assess applications are:

  • Volunteer experience - evidence of committee work/prior Board experience
  • Vision for GBTA Europe and role of the Board
  • Leadership experience – particularly in leading a volunteer group

Candidates are requested to complete an application and then will be interviewed by other lead volunteers from the European Advisory Board and European Committees. When all interviews are completed applications will be scored and successful candidate confirmed. It is anticipated the Chair will take over at Conference in November. The timeline is as follows:

  • Applications open 27 August
  • Applications close 20 September
  • Interviews from w/c 30 September
  • Candidate selected w/c 14 October
  • Handover 5 November
