The energy sector has never gone through such a complex situation as we are experiencing now, due to the geopolitical scenarios, with commodity prices extremely volatile and GDP estimation revised downwards.

We need to tackle this challenging contest with a different approach: energy transition is no more a long-term ambition but a short-term priority. On one hand, we need to support businesses and territories on energy consumption and CO2 emissions reduction, and on the other we have to safeguard their competitiveness.

Our mission is to partner with businesses and territories on the energy transition and decarbonization. 

That’s why today we launch:

Edison Next is a platform of services, technologies and skills, unique on the market, already operating in Italy, Spain and Poland, with more than 65 industrial sites, 2,100 public and private structures, 280 cities served and around 3,500 employed people.

Edison Next shares the Edison values and its leadership, over 140 years of history, in terms of skills, innovation culture and focus on territories.

Edison Next envisages to invest 2.5 billion euros by 2030 and targets 300 million euros of EBITDA.

In line with this aim, Edison Next has recently closed the acquisition of Citelum and gained control over Sistrol. Citelum is Italy’s second most important public lighting player operating in cities such as Venice, Naples and Siracusa and the fifth most important in Spain, operating in cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Seville. Sistrol is a digital company specialised in energy services for the tertiary sector in Spain
