As we approach the end of 2024, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for your support and engagement. Together, we’ve explored value-based medical technology, the platform transformation of healthcare, and the ongoing progress of artificial intelligence. We engaged in meaningful discussions on how these advancements are reshaping the practice of medicine and care delivery. Your contributions have been invaluable, and I’m grateful for this growing community of almost 4,000 thoughtful, forward-thinking readers!

The progress of technology continues to accelerate at an extraordinary pace. OpenAI’s recent "12 Days of OpenAI" event serves as a prime example. With the release of Sora, a groundbreaking text-to-video AI model,  o1, an advanced reasoning model, and the announcement of o3—a model showcasing even greater leaps in reasoning and super-human performance in computer programming, math, and scientific knowledge—we are getting closer to achieving artificial general intelligence! These advancements are setting the stage for transformative possibilities across industries, including healthcare as the study below foreshadows!

To ensure the newsletter continues to provide meaningful insights and value, I’ll be taking a quick break for the next two weeks.
