When God blesses you, mind your ego

When God blesses you, mind your ego

What we call theologically “ego” is really just the natural result of “choice”. If you had no choice, you’d be a preprogrammed robot, like those wireless robot vacuum cleaners. In many ways, our choice to reject the Love of Virtue is that choice: to return to our robotic (DNA programmed) animal instinct driven state (survive, thrive, reproduce). So man’s metaphor for the Love of Virtue (called: God) is calling us back to the heavenly state of Loving Virtue. So we can see that we are all conceived+born as DNA-driven animals with a small seed inside of us called “the love of virtue”.

 We believe there are three of us, inside of us: a loud, emotional and vocal DNA-driven survive, thrive, reproduce ego (I, me, my, mine) and resisting discipline, this is often a fear-mongering, defensive, arrogant and lying voice. A quiet seed of a beautiful, altruistic, self-disciplined, virtue-driven hero/heroine…this is an honest and truthful voice…love lives here and is waiting for us. And an initially naive, curious, adventurous child “chooser” that can select either 1 or 2 (or a mix of both but care must be taken to choose wisely such as when physical death appears eminent). I believe the purpose in life is for #3 to increase in wisdom and virtue. With that increasing understanding, spend more time listening to and following #2 while paying less and less attention to (by disciplining) #1.

We can turn from our Ego animal nature and follow that seed of elegant and beautiful Virtue, or we can refuse to do so. So we are living in a “rescue” time in that this seed of virtue within us calls out to us (and through others) to return to that Love of Virtue (God). When God blesses you deeply, you will not have any ego and you will always be conscious of it. If he blessed you with wealth or power and the good things of life and find yourself having ego in you,then your ego could be a test for you whether you will be able to make it to heaven…otherwise you may end up in hell. God says a rich man has more problems entering heaven than a poor man especially if he has pride or ego as you call it and God hates ego or what we call as pride.

Satan has been the number one culprit who exhibited ego for us. There is a story and I doubt if it is a true where it is said that there was a time when Satan met Moses and pleaded with him to assist him by begging God to forgive him,as he is now remorseful for not bowing down to Adam in heaven for which he is now condemned to hell forever. Moses agreed and spoke to God and came back with a cheerful reply. He told Satan that God has accepted his plea and that the only thing remaining is for Satan to go to Adam's grave and bow down to him.When they both got to the graveyard of Adam,Moses stepped back and waited for Satan to finish the business .Satan hesitated a little before going forward to stand In front of the Grave and addressed Adam as follows;

“Adam, do you in your wildest dreams ever, think that, me Satan,can condescend so low as to bow down to you? while you are now nothing laid up in this grave, when I had earlier refused to bow down to you in heaven ? He spat on the grave instead and left to join Moses.Moses was so stunned and angry that he stumped off ! That's how Satan missed a second chance to enter heaven and also tells you what damage ego can do our minds.

They are all helpful in the upbringing of someone. People have achieved great in life and have accomplished great works with their Ego. Even Ravana had great Ego. Right now also wherever you see a big leader, you will see Ego in Him/Her. If you do not show anger to someone (example Police to Thief or Mother to child), nobody will take you seriously. So these are good.. Till they are good till you are bigger than them… The point when you are not able to have a say over your own anger and ego, they start creating problems for you.. And there is misery in life. If there is no fear, everyone will just jump off the top and most will die.. Only fear keeps one take decisions with proper knowledge etc.

God gave us an ego, but currently, it has become in practice a false ego as we identify it with the physical body. The true ego which is, in fact, a triple ego was meant to be used in the service of the other one, the soul body first and foremost. The physical instrument was used to do the work in the physical worlds, as the soul body is immaterial. Both are necessary while we are here in the material world, but we have relationships wrong. We lead with the physical and the soul follows. It should be the other way around. God wants us to have a balanced view of ourselves.

We need a healthy sense of self in order to feel worthy and of value. However, the Bible cautions us not to think too much of ourselves. Ego wasn’t a problem until Adam and Even sinned and fell from grace and innocence. Don’t blame God for what man is responsible for and fully culpable. Though God has given us ego He has not asked us to stick to it.We can give up our ego though not entirely at least to a reasonable extent so that we can live happily ,& peacefully.Let us not blame God for anything that seems unfavourable to us.

Had that been the case God could have avoided creating such grumblers who who tend to hold God responsible for anything they come across which is not in their interest.Why does God allow such people to breathe & live ? We ought not to think of the misfortunes that have befallen or may befall in the future but we ought to think the favours that God has bestowed upon us & trust in His power & grace because his world and His grace are everlasting.If we ask God to do everything favourable to us what are we going to do on our own ? Nothing ?Think about it.Cheers!
