"When is the Right Time?"

"When is the Right Time?"

The obvious answer is that there is no right time, but there are certain things that a business must have in place before starting to franchise. They might seem obvious but I have come across several businesses that don't match the criteria but have have gone ahead regardless... most have failed.

  1. The business needs to be well established and successful.
  2. You must be able to replicate it in another area.
  3. It must be profitable.
  4. There needs to be sufficient profit margin for both parties to earn a substantial income.
  5. On a personal note you must accept that your role will change.

Franchising is not something that I feel can be taught easily. Sure you can learn the legalities, the operations, the training... but you can't learn what you gain from the experience of founding and growing a franchise system. How does it feel as a founder? How do I get started? How do I expand? What tools do I need to franchise? These are not only business questions but just a few of the questions that franchise founders ask every day.

I have been there, I understand it, and I can guide you through the franchise process. I really enjoy helping those who are interested in franchising their business and working with them to achieve their goals. If your business is not ready for franchising I will tell you so. I will also advise you on what you need to do to make it ready.
