“When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.” - Honore de Balzac
The last couple of weeks have been challenging to say the least. A couple of projects that I worked very hard at did not get the green light. These are the times when you question yourself, when you doubt your power.
I have always treated my nightly posts very personally. I also know that when I am going through something like this, someone else might be experiencing a valley as well. And if find a little ray of light, a thought that might get me through a hurdle, then I should share it with my readers.
Les Brown has been an inspiring teacher in my life for a very long time because of his message of pushing forward and believing in yourself, so I wanted to share a couple of quotes that resonated with me recently.
“When are you going to live your own life? It’s been said that most people die at age 25, but don’t get buried until age 65. Are you living a dead life? Many people exist with their real lives on hold. Don’t deprive the world of experiencing the real you! Release your talents, use your abilities, and live with a spirit of adventure and boldness. Create a life where you make a difference, and leave your mark.” - Les Brown
Perhaps some things don’t go according to plan. When one door closes, kick another one open, I say!
“In the midst of your most difficult and challenging experience, remember – you are growing. Be gentle with yourself. Give yourself time to examine, question, and explore the principles at work and the emotions you are experiencing. Give yourself permission to fall, to get up and to do better next time. Life does whatever is necessary to mold us into shape and prepare us for greatness. It does not always look or feel this way. Instead, what we experience in life seems difficult, painful, and unnecessary. When we truly recognize that there is a master plan, we can welcome any tool that comes to prepare us to behold our perfect place.” -Iyanla Vanzant
Stop believing the negative thoughts that say:
- You can’t do it.
- You’ll never be good enough.
- You’re going to fail

Keep going, push forward, perhaps there is another way to get your project off the ground… DON’T GIVE UP!
“Keep the faith…that the best is yet to come. Keep the faith that the next extraordinary version of you is being crafted even now… that nothing can deter you from keeping your commitment to achieving your goals set for today…that you can better your best! Keep the faith. Move forward in spite of your fears and despite any evidence to the contrary.” - Les Brown
Every day you get 24 hours to start anew; what are you going to do with that time?
Perhaps it is time to look back at what has worked for you, the things you’ve accomplished in the past. Recall your successes and stop doubting your power.
Don’t waste one more minute in defeat, procrastination and self-doubt… It is time try again!
If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
