When You’re Feeling Low In The AM, Showing Up When It’s Time, What Success Looks Like

When You’re Feeling Low In The AM

Waking up every day is a blessing. But I know most of us, including myself, have our off days.

We wake up and we’re just not feeling our best. Our energy is low and we’re anxious about things for no reason.

Luckily, there are plenty of tools out there for us to use so we can recalibrate back to our best selves.

I personally use a guided meditation by Dr. Joe Dispenza. It’s free on YouTube, I’ll drop a link to it on my YouTube channel below. I also stand barefoot outside in my backyard and get some sunlight in my eyes.

This is a really good way to reset your circadian rhythm for sleep and ground yourself. It really wakes up your body.

I also take my vitamins and do a quick Wim Hof breathing exercise (also on my YouTube below). Cold plunge is excellent too if you have access to one.

With all these various techniques combined, it puts me in a good mindset physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Now I can handle everything and anything in my upcoming day.

But if you need a quick boost in the morning, I recommend doing a quick tummo session. I haven’t found one on YouTube that I like yet, so I’ll make my own and upload it in the next couple of weeks.

It takes 5 minutes and it’ll fire you the F UP!!

Showing Up When It’s Time

You see this all of the time. Some guys I’ve noticed crush it in the training room but tend to underperform on fight night.

In my opinion, that’s a mental thing.

Pressure is a bitch if you let it be. Or it can be what my coach Jim West says:

“Pressure is a privilege.”

I believe that. Embrace it man. But that comes with a lot of mental work.

In the big leagues, we are all similar in power and speed. But the question is, “Can you operate clearly?”

Mind, mind, mind.

For guys who experience that challenge, I recommend getting rid of distractions. Every aspect of your life is either helping you or hurting you. Put everything in those boxes.

I believe once you shed those unnecessary battles, you will have an easier time getting the job done.

What Success Looks Like

I saw the clip of Dana White mentioning what the true measure of success is.

Happiness. Waking up to a life you can’t wait for.

He also spoke of hating sleep. That’s the one thing I’ll disagree on, I absolutely love sleep!! It’s great.

But if you are waking up and doing what you love with people you love doing it with – you truly are successful.

I’ll be honest… I’m there, I’m there baby.

Look at the people in my life who I’m blessed to be around – from my family, my fiance, my kids, my friends, my teammates, my coaches, and the community I’ve cultivated.

Fuck man, I’m blessed.

Damn 😌 Thank you to each one of you from the bottom of my soul 🙏🏽

CEO Soak

Yesterday, I was at the State Capitol supporting the ALS Association for the annual CEO Soak.

We raised money and spread awareness to combat this terrible disease. As some of you may know, my lifelong sensei/father figure/mentor and bad a$$ mfer, Dave “Mad Man” Marinoble is battling the disease.

He is not alone.

5,000 to 5,600 people are diagnosed with ALS each year and there is no cure.

I’ll drop a link below where you can donate. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Dave Marinoble. Anything helps, even $1.

I’m working on getting him some stem cell treatments as well 🧬 Stay tuned!!! 👇🏽
