Where To Start with Diversity & Inclusion? I'll Tell You...

Mavis Amankwah, Diversity & Inclusion Strategist and Trainer

As we all know, employees at all levels have influential voices that can often vibrate rapidly throughout the organisation, especially when talking all things Diversity & Inclusion. This can really shape an organisations' reputation, both internally and externally. The downside of this is when employees do not feel heard, the impact can manifest in a range of ways; one being a dip in employee retention and decreased employee engagement which truly does shape an organisation culturally.

Studies show that Diversity and inclusion is one of the hottest topics of the past few years, so naturally this has become a focal talking point for employers and employees. As a result, we commonly and frustratingly sometimes find ourselves rolling out non-effective Diversity and Inclusion initiatives in the hopes that this will 'ignite the change we want to see', rather than us 'being the change they want to see'.

You're probably wondering what I mean by that? I'm talking top down strategy which incorporates 'quick wins', rather than 'quick fixes'.

The question is, where do you start? You can start with me! Starter steps and Quick Wins is a training program I'll be launching in May. To kick things off and to provide you with more insight into what I'll be covering, I'll be hosting a 'Diversity & Inclusion - Strategic Quick Wins' breakfast on the 27th March, London - click below to book your place today, limited spaces available.
