- Technical advantages of oil regeneration
After transformer oil treatment at GlobeCore СMM-R plants, its parameters fully comply with the requirements of the international standard IEC 60296:
- improved dielectric strength,
- reduced water ppm., acid number, sulfur content, gas solubility,
- removed sludge deposits from inside the transformer windings, insulation paper as well as the transformer casing and cooling system,
- improved oil colour ,
- removed aromatics.
2. Economical advantages of GlobeCore oil regeneration

3. Service life of the absorption material and its influence on the environment.
With GlobeCore build-in fuller's earth reactivation unit that can be done in situ, the fuller's earth is reactivated back to its original condition and this can be used again not less than 1000 times before it needs to be replaced. The Fuller’s earth is totally inert and has no environmental issues and can be used as land fill or construction waste material.
4. Levels of systems operation
1. Manual systems ( capacity is regulated with the help of the manual manipulation with the valves by means of bypass line)
2. Semi-automatic systems (simple PLC, breakdown control, oil heating regulation)
3. Automatic systems ( the valves are regulated by the electric drives, operator provides the parameters, the system controls everything on its own, PLC VIPA, remote monitoring, software update)
5. Do GlobeCore systems work with the Transformers on-line?
OPERATION ON THE ENERGIZED TRANSFORMER is possible thanks to TSS system (transformer security system)
SHORT INFORMATION about TSS: The oil purification plant is connected to a transformer via upper and lower ports. Each port is equipped with an automatic valve, which stops the unit when required, e.g. when an oil leak is detected. The operator can set the normal upper and lower oil levels in the transformer tank. If the oil does not reach normal levels, a sensor commands the oil processing unit to stop and closes its connection to the transformer. Possible air in the hoses trigger the air relief valve, eliminating false trips of the gas relay.
6. Is this the preferred method of Oil treatment in Europe?
It is the most effective method of mineral and transformer Oil treatment not only In Europe, but in most countries around the world. This process was perfected by a company called Fluidex over 35 years ago and this is the same improved technology that is used by GlobeCore tried and tested in the transformer service and repair industry.
