Why are Goals Important?

''If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.''

Jim Rohn

It’s easy to put off setting annual goals. We might think, “I’ll figure it out along the way,” or “As long as I work hard, it doesn’t matter how I get there.” But without well thought out goals, we’re often left wandering in the wrong direction.

No matter your ambition—whether it’s to improve existing job competencies, develop or improve processes or to make concrete steps toward professional development —setting the right objectives is at the root of success. It allows you to look ahead, make a personalized action plan, and hold yourself accountable.
