Why I Love Christmas - Theresa's Version

So as a quick break from our Why I Love Disney series, I thought I would write about why I LOVE Christmas!!  For me there are SO many reasons, so I am just going to hit a few of my most important/non-negotiable traditions!

The whole “feeling” of Christmas means so much to me.  Spending time with family and friends (who are often called framily) makes me so happy.  I enjoy the time together whether that is our tradition of riding the Polar Express, ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo or the Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden (and yes, we always do all three).   We also always go see the play A Christmas Carol at one of our local theaters.  These traditions really bring us all together!

The sights, sounds and smells of Christmas are also important to me.  Christmas Lights on the houses and on our trees make me light up.  You will also often find me singing my favorite Christmas Carols (especially when I’m alone in my car)!  And finally baking Christmas cookies is one of my favorite things along with all those special family meals for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

But the best part of Christmas to me is the gift-giving.  Giving back to our community through our Christmas Angel program (you can read more about that here:  Advisers Giving Back: Theresa Conti | PLANADVISER) and knowing the joy that we add to so many of our local kids just makes me appreciate my life and how we are able to spread happiness.  Finding that special gift for my friends and family also makes the season even more special.
