Why I Opened a Yoga Studio in Davao City

I recently opened Arch Wellness Studio, a yoga studio in Davao City. And yes, my social media has been flooding your feeds with yoga posts. Guilty. Coming from a completely tech background, it’s quite faaaar from what you expected from me, which is why I feel the need to write about it.

We’re just bouncing back from the effects of the pandemic, and it hit me differently. I have done everything I wanted to do during the first year of the pandemic. In fact, I over-worked myself, which left me lost on the second year. I couldn’t bring myself to work out, couldn’t work on things, and just had the Big Bang Theory on constant replay.

That’s when I realized, I should have had balance. 

I opened the yoga studio because I believe that yoga can be a powerful tool to help people achieve their physical and mental health goals. I have always been passionate about helping others in their careers from my trainings, now, maybe I can help them find balance and peace in their lives, and I felt that opening a yoga studio was a great way to do that. 

My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can come to practice yoga and find a sense of community. Without any pressure, even without goals. It’s just a space where they can empty their minds, forget the stress and equip them to unlock their full potential and find happiness, balance, and peace.

Our instructors teach a variety of yoga styles, suited whether you’re a beginner, or have been practicing yoga for years. You can ask them any questions or concerns you may have about the practice.
