Why It Is Important Not To Keep VICN A Secret!

As the VICN community continues to grow, I am amazed at the wonderful members of our community and the selfless way they are helping others in need. I think of the early members who started with us from the beginning who are still contributing today. Then I think of the new members who are embracing the community as if they have been here for a while, a place for them to call their "crowdfunding" home away from home. I think of what has been, and I think of what can be, and my mind begins to drift in excitement and anticipation of what the community will be able to do for their fellow crowdfunders now, and into the future.

From great gratitude am I writing this blog post with my heart open and ready to listen. We all are part of a movement, the crowdfunding movement, which has enchanted us in such a way that we can hardly stop thinking about the opportunities that will allow our dreams to become reality. This was selected after much deliberation because the moto is important for the community to rally around. No worthy endeavor comes without sacrifice, great sacrifice, but from the basic level, it always starts with a dream of a better future, a belief that it is possible, and the action needed in order to achieve the worthy ideal. As I review the last 4 months, I am seeing wonderful community members living up to their own dreams, beliefs, and achievements, and taking steps towards their future selves with courage, persistence, and integrity. With nearly 2,000 community members, we are reaching a tipping point, one that will take each of us further along our own personal journeys while always having a safe community to come back to when there is a need for questions to be answered, friends to be supportive, and resources to support us.

The community we are building gains strength with each new member. Think of it (VICN) as a collective mind, a crowdsourced incubator, that learns more and more about the way business, crowdfunding, and life is conducted and shares that knowledge with the membership with each post, idea, blog, question, event, etc. The membership is what makes this community, not the infrastructure that supports it. YOU make the community by contributing. YOU make the community by sharing it's ideals and welcoming new members when they join. YOU make the community when you invite others to learn in a safe and free environment. It is YOU that We do this for, and it is with you in mind when we ask you:
