According to the latest survey performed by HornetSecurity, a top cloud security firm, the IT sector will see a significant move to cloud technology in the next few years. The business polled over 900 people from all across the world for the survey. The poll looked at the use of cloud technology, the ease with which hybrid cloud adoption may be accomplished, and the hurdles that the sector confronts in doing so.

The following conclusion can be made from the findings of the survey

From figure-1, it can be stated that 93% of respondents are in complete support of the transition of their system into the cloud. 67 % of respondents state that a Hybrid cloud is an option for the long run and also 28.6% are almost prepared for the transition. Few of the respondents have been rejected.

During the survey, fewer security and privacy concerns were also raised. Stats for the survey have been represented by means of a chart in figure-2. As for the same concern, a positive impact has been noticed because already more than half which is 52 % of the respondents were already using one of the features of the cloud named as managed service providers (MSP). 34 % of the respondents raised their concerns about privacy and security for their work. Also, a subset of management skills is majorly highlighted as monitoring which is actually a tedious task in technology.

1.     Electric: "Adopting a cloud-first approach with AWS is assisting our IT teams get out of the business of setting up and running data centers and refocus our resources on innovation as we go through one of the largest and most important transformations in GE's history," said Chris Drumgoole, Chief Technology Officer, and Corporate Vice President.

2.     Apple: Users may use the cloud to share data, applications, and software updates without having to make any alterations to their hardware or software. In reality, almost everyone is aware of Apple's cloud service, iCloud.

3.      eBay: eBay recognized the initiative as a huge undertaking when it opted to transfer its global market including over a billion listings. With the assistance of various engineers, it was able to complete the migration to Google's cloud platform in only five months. That feat was accomplished in such a short period that eBay was six months ahead of schedule. It may also contemplate using Google's services in a number of areas across the world, including that outside of North America. 

4.     Netflix: According to Netflix, its 117.58 million global subscribers watch 140 million hours of video every day. Simply said, the average Netflix user spends 1 hour and 11 minutes each day, or 71 minutes per day, on the service.

 5.     Kroger: It announced a partnership with Microsoft in early 2019 to change grocery shopping by incorporating cutting-edge digital technologies into a physical test store. Kroger will benefit from Microsoft Azure's cloud platform in stepping forward with a data-driven strategy to buying groceries that considers customers ’ demands, in part by leveraging artificial intelligence technology (AI).

 6.     Fitbit: Although cloud-based health data innovation may have had a part, it's tough to pinpoint the exact source of Fitbit's recent advancements. Convenience is something that both doctors and patients enjoy, and it may be found in the cloud. Those who want to share their papers in this way can do it with the help of dedicated storage space.

 7.     Pinterest: As Pinterest grows in popularity, the cloud can adjust to traffic levels and keep up with the site traffic. Pinterest, which is now worth more than $12 billion, was one of the first cloud computing successes.

Although trends & utility are keeping cloud technology at its peak and enhancing its services more for everyone. It will not be easy for businesses to shift themselves to the cloud so easily even after reading the success stories and facts of top companies. Obviously few shortcomings will be on the way but still, the analytics predicts the future of the cloud as the future of technology.
