WoDaRC, FMC, manufactured quail and more!

WoDaRC, FMC, manufactured quail and more!

Thank you April and Easter, what a great year so far and it is warming up nicely!

In a nutshell:

  • I’ve had multiple government meetings in various places around the country, scaling and growing globally across those little start-ups of mine.
  • I also recorded the audiobook for Converge, expect it at the end of May - more on that later.
  • I had some time off over the school holidays too, and caught up with some friends from Zambia.
  • I have managed to reconnect my Peleton to the power supply and so the ‘witness the fitness’ part of my new year’s resolutions is now coming online, especially after promising Josh Szeps on his podcast that I would use the bloomin’ thing…..
  • In the throes of finalising 2x conferences which are looking to be exceptional - more info below. If you’re interested to speak or sponsor, please reach out!
  • May is shaping up to be busy already - I'm off to Brisbane x2, Boston, London, NZ!

Australian National Robotics Strategy led by Ed Husic MP   is out for feedback and consultation (and includes DRONES!).

As you know, I like to state that “all drones are robots, but not all robots are drones” .

Here is the Discussion paper on the National Robotics Strategy.  The Department has also released the dates for online (sector-specific) and in-person (location-specific) consultation sessions and I encourage you to register and attend at least one.

Six dancers. Five drones. Endless emotions.

In this ambitious new work, Australasian Dance Collective brings art and technology together in a world-first project. Lucie In the Sky will see drones choreographed using human movement patterns to emulate emotions and personalities.

I ATE MANUFACTURED QUAIL!

My first experience of #manufacturedmeat was quail. Quail without the death of a quail. Such an interesting concept. So many people have different opinions. Thank you TP Design Centre and Vow for having this opportunity. #future #converge #food

Would you eat lab grown meat?

Check out my thoughts and reaction here.

Food - Trying new bars and restaurants in Sydney.

First up was Sala courtesy of Qantas Loyalty Programme with the Diversity Council Australia Ltd talking D&I in Aus. An interesting and challenging conversation, and the food was top notch. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Next up was Menzies Bar at Shell House courtesy of Amazon Web Services (AWS) replete with live jazz and an espresso martini being handed to me when I yawned. Staff and food were amazing, and the Sommelier is very well versed in what you might like (including the need for espresso martinis when your kids have had you up half the night). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (did I mention the live jazz?)
