Women Consultants, Are You Creating Leverage In Your Business?

Welcome to the latest edition of the Seven Figure Consultant LinkedIn Newsletter. Don't forget that you can get daily updates from Jessica in your LinkedIn news feed by accessing her LinkedIn profile and hitting Follow. She will be sharing insights and discussions through the week that she would love to hear your views on.

So often the women consultants I speak to have an expectation that making money has to be hard. We have to work at it. We feel if we’re not desperately wishing there were another 5 hours in the day and two more days in the week, we’re not pushing ourselves enough.

We grow up feeling like we have to do the work ourselves. It’s our consulting business and we need to bootstrap it. This is exactly what our schooling systems groom us into doing. Can you imagine if you had outsourced your homework? You would be in big trouble if you got caught! We’re not rewarded for doing things efficiently at school or college, we’re rewarded for demonstrating that we, personally, have done the work.

You have to show that you've gone through this whole process of learning. But business isn’t like that. In business, it makes sense to outsource the aspects of your business you don’t want to do, or to bring in people who can help you carry the load.

When you start to realise that what you are trying to do in your business or in your role is more than one person can be expected to actually achieve, that’s when you open more opportunities. The result of bringing on someone is that actually the two of you (or your team if you have more) have so much more capacity. Bringing in people in the right roles and being strategic about it means you are able to leverage your time.

Suddenly you don’t need an extra two days a week, because you have another person to help you.

This week my guest on the Seven Figure Consultant Podcast is Doug C. Brown and we are talking about how you can create leverage in your business. Doug is CEO of Business Success Factors and international best-selling author of the book Win-Win Selling: Unlocking Your Power for Profitability by Resolving Objections.

Free Report - The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Consulting Business

I've created a free PDF report called The Six Elements of a Seven Figure Business. It’s my most popular free resource and in it I outline the 6 areas of unscaled businesses that need to change in order to move past being ‘booked up and burned out’ and shifting into that higher gear that gets you cruising again.

It’s the framework that helps consultant women like you find their feet and get back to leading the business, rather than being buried in client work and back-end business operations.

Sign up here for your PDF report, and I'll show you the six elements your consultancy needs to make the shift from a nice little 6-figure lifestyle business to a serious 7-figure enterprise.
