Women in Finance

Hundreds of women across our organization have connected through NEWS (Networks Enhance Women's Success) and WIF (Women in Finance). The mission for these organizations is to create an environment where women help each other and develop leadership and career management skills through networking forums and events.

These forums and events provide opportunities for individuals to participate in internal and external networking activities, to exchange views on gender issues, and to gain the knowledge and confidence to achieve financial independence. Topics are selected based on current trends as they relate to women's issues and are presented by both internal Prudential leaders and external speakers. These events are available in person and through streaming video and are open to all employees throughout Prudential.

Past event themes:

• News Dinner Events geared toward networking and mentoring for senior-level Prudential women. This "progressive dinner event" featured rotating seating, enabling attendees to meet and network with different women during each course of the meal.
• She Wins, You Win presented by the author Gail Evans. Topics from Ms. Evans' book were addressed, including the business case for and benefits of empowered women in the workplace.
• Building Your Foundation for Financial Success forum focused on planning for the future you want.
• GenderSmart: Solving the Communication Puzzle Between Men and Women, an interactive seminar facilitated by Jane Sanders, producer of the popular GenderSmart® Solutions series.
