Women's History Month Edition: LinkedIn levels the playing field for women

The month of March is celebrated as Women's History Month. The annual observance puts a spotlight on the significant contributions that women have made throughout history and in our contemporary society. The month also includes Equal Pay Day on March 7th. This observance raises awareness about the gender pay gap.

In the work world, women continue to face challenges with equal access to jobs, equitable pay, advancements, etc. Unlike in professional environments, women do not have to break figurative glass ceilings on LinkedIn. Women can gain just as much traction on the platform as men when they use it according to best practices.

Here are a few tips for women to keep in mind to stand out on LinkedIn:

  2. Have a competitive mindset! This does not mean focuses on others who may be your 'competition,' but focusing on be your very best self on LinkedIn. When you are your best self on the platform, you have a winner's mindset. You are laser focused on outperforming yourself, not others. You don't dwell on the engagement that others generation. You set performance goals for yourself, master them and/or make adjustments as need and continue to level up.

A story that seamlessly flows without missing chapters.
