Workplace need Leaders not Bullies!
"Why didn't you complete it yesterday?" "Do it now or else Get Lost!"
Boss using abusive language put their employees under severe depression and anxiety.
Use of abusive language is not a good sign at any work place.
Bullying at work place is an serious offence affecting output of employees.
Don't turn your workplace into bullying base.
All people in a workplace are there to grow and make the company grow rather than behaving like cheap bullies.
Great Bosses will always ban use of abusive words in their workplace and keep the work environment clean and healthy.
But what about Bad Bosses using abusive language themselves? It would only encourage use of such language in their work place, destroying the work culture and humanity.
How Good leaders help prevent and stop profanity in the workplace:
1. Set policies that restrict use of abusive language in workplaces
2. Take strict disciplinary actions against any people encouraging abusive language in workplace whether they are top or any type of management cadree people
3. Set up complaint redressal cells for employees to address such type of issues in workplaces
4. Address the employee privately who have been victims of abusive language by their bosses.
"Value your people and they will add value to your company."

5yJainder-Singh, you are correct, there needs to be structure. But most of all there needs to be action, public action, & proper consequences. These days nearly all companies have policies, but actions speak, policies just rest in policy books until audit time.

5yI remember if someone pissed you off at work, you’d ignore them and move on. Or you would outwork them to shut them up. I say don’t bitch, don’t complain & if it gets to much find another job where better employees are hired.

5yCurious to hear people's thoughts on how to respond to bullies. Obviously company culture and all these things are basically out of our hands, but we can control how we respond as individuals. How should you do that? Is it possible to assert yourself without perpetuating this psychological violence? Or are we doomed to defeating bullying by bullying back harder? I have had cause to ask myself these questions lately and so far do not have a satisfactory answer.

5yMr Negi my experience says using abusive language reflect bad management skill. Many a time manager is good in profile, but pressure from seniors push him to use rough language.Point raised by you are valid.
