It would be joy to baptize you today!

Baptism is the most important single ritual in a your life. Baptism publicly signifies your personal faith in Christ and your inclusion in the Body of Christ and Family of God. It is a profoundly holy moment that Jesus commands us to do, once we have believed and repented:

In Mark 16:16 Jesus said “Whoever believes in me and is baptized will be saved, but whoever refuses to believe will be condemned.” The order: Believe, then be baptized.

In Acts 2:38, on the day the Jesus started the Church, Peter preached " Repent and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins." The order: Repent, then be baptized

ACTS 2:41 “Those who believed were then baptized AND they were added to the church—about three thousand people that day.” The order: Believe, then be baptized.

Jesus also modeled baptism for us. As a baby, Mary and Joseph had Jesus circumcised, NOT baptized. Instead, as a 30 year old adult, Jesus had John the Baptist baptize him under the Jordan River. It was his first public statement that launched his ministry. It was also an example of his command for us to be baptized.

Last night (Saturday, January 18) I spent 4 hours in a baptism pool baptizing 213 people. Today I will begin baptizing at 9 am to baptize hundreds more. I'll stay there as long as it takes
