Closing ceremony for the 2023 RE-SAIL project🥇
On the 15th of December, we organised a closing ceremony for the RE-SAIL project, an initiative led by Odyssea with the generous support of Athanasios C. Laskaridis Charitable Foundation . Active citizens fund dissemination event 🤝
In the framework of the International Migrant Day, we organised a dissemination event of the project “Empowerment & vocational training of NEETS” financed by the Active citizens fund. During the event, we presented the work of Odyssea while attendees engaged in multiple discussions. Moreover, the discourse shifted to an exploration of the existing migration and refugee framework in Greece, specifically on the potential areas for enhancement.
Notable aspects highlighted in the conversation encompassed the essential need for diversity policies, effective strategies for the inclusion of unaccompanied minors in educational settings, and the pressing requirement for greater representation in decision-making positions. We thank Susanna Terstal - the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Greece, and Cees Van Beek - first Secretary at the Netherlands Embassy in Athens, Javeid Aslam - President of the Pakistani community in Greece, Moussa Sangare - President of the Ivorian community in Greece, Gelly Aroni - Head of the unit Head of the Unit for Integration in the Special Secretariat for the Protection of Unaccompanied Minors in the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, and Fotis Spiropoulos Senior Programme Manager at Bodossaki Foundation .
