You can copy all you want, but you’ll always be one step behind the originator’

There are some aspects to copying which I agree with.

Copying proven strategies, for instance, is a smart move, along with copying a format that works. However, becoming a carbon copy of someone else means that not only will you always be one step behind, you’ll be in direct competition and you’ll always be sloppy seconds.

Besides if you’re copying someone, I’d assume it was because they were good right? So why would the consumer pick you over someone who is already rocking that corner?

When you do your own thing, you’ll be something new and amazing to that market.

There WILL be others out there doing a similar thing to you, they’ll be on a similar mission, in a similar micro-niche, with similar values, but I’ll tell you this as well, they won’t be the same.

We are all different unique cocktails and instead of trying to replicate what’s already been done, which is more exhausting than it looks, and becoming a weak, diluted version -concentrate on being YOU!

You are uniquely excellent in all your glory and in all your flaws. Own it all, don’t be boring, be the anomaly and kick ass because you know what?

The world ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
