You Can Get Through to Anyone When You Do This

Adaptability

There are going to be plenty of people you meet throughout the course of your life, all with different personalities and communication styles.

There are going to be tons of different types of conversations you are going to have as well.

Which is exactly why it’s so essential that we learn to picot and adapt in our communication styles, because communicating and having all sorts of conversations will never be a linear path.

Discernment

When it comes to speaking to different personality types, we must learn when to use proper discernment as well.

  • Is this a healthy individual?
  • Is this someone I want to keep around in my life?
  • Are they adding value, or just there to constantly taking?

Sometimes we must be aware of when somebody is no longer serving us, and when it may be time to walk away.

Unfortunately, sometimes the same not so healthy people will be more than happy to take and take, yet never give.

Being Flexible

Each style of communicator is going to come with a different tonality, different traits and preferences.

The more we have conversations with different people, the more we start to realize we all speak, and communicate differently.

Some people are more shy, some people are more energetic and extroverted.

Start to recognise whether someone prefers direct, strong, expressive or intuitive communication styles when speaking with them.

Observe their body language, as well as verbal and nonverbal cues, and start to become more flexible with your own communication style when talking to different individuals.

This will automatically ensure you are in sync with people no matter what their tonality, energy, or preferences may be when conversing.

By learning to properly speak with different individuals, this also gets you outside your bubble of comfort as well and promotes excellent growth.

Try this next time you have a conversation with someone new, and let me know how it goes!

If communication is something you are struggling with, and want to become the best possible and most confident speaker you can be, don’t hesitate to reach out.
