If so, you most likely make decisions daily, even if they seem insignificant. No child wants to be put in the position of making these decisions on behalf of a parent. The role reversal—where the soccer coach or the PTA President now leans on the child for Support—can be emotionally taxing 😔. It's a profound shift that stirs up a mixture of emotions, from love ❤️ and compassion 🤗 to anxiety 😰, sorrow, and even frustration 😖.


Living wills and other legal documents 📜 may help define a person's wishes, but life is unpredictable, and we cannot plan everything. Situations arise that were never anticipated, and in these moments, the pressure of making the right choice becomes intense 😓. Even with the most comprehensive preparations, unforeseen events can challenge the most dedicated caregivers. How do you balance what your parent wants with what is medically advisable? When do you step in, and when do you step back?


Sometimes you can't be there, and the guilt is overwhelming 😞. You question yourself, wondering if you've done enough, if you've made the right choices, or if you could have been more present. It's a continuous internal tug-of-war 💔.
