You Don't Always Have To Know

You Don't Always Have To Know

At the risk of talking out of both sides of my mouth, or writing out both sides of my pen, it is ok not to know what your next move in your Pursuit will be. There will be chapters in your Pursuit that end without you knowing how the next one will start or even be about.

This is ok. This is normal. This is healthy.

When you find yourself in one of the periods, allow your Self the grace to be still. Don’t force the next chapter to start and continue moving forward in your Pursuit allowing your interests and passions to guide you. Explore the interests that speak the loudest to you, experiment with new ideas, and enjoy the process of learning more about your Self–if you try to force the next chapter you will miss the opportunity to discover what The Universe has in mind for you because whatever you are trying to force isn’t what you are supposed to do, otherwise it wouldn’t have to be forced—it would naturally be the beginning of your next chapter.

We are beings who find comfort in knowing—the unknown scares us. But, it’s the occasional periods of the unknown that bring life-changing opportunities to us, if we allow them to. As Kendrick Lamar reminds us,

“There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.”

Have faith in your brief moment of unknown that your next chapter will reveal itself to you. It might take a little longer than you’d like but enjoy the freedom of exploration and experiencing the different versions of your Self as you follow the passions and the interests that excite you the most–this will lead you to the next chapter in the Pursuit of your authentic life.

You don’t always have to know what’s next–it will reveal itself…if you allow it to and are present to see it.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC
