You have permission to be Amazing
I was given a unique opportunity this morning to hold court as we used to call it. As I left the hotel lobby I was stopped by one of the workers. A young lady in the lobby took the time to ask me about a recent trip I took. I told her briefly about my time and then asked one question that unlocked a very special moment. We began to speak about the book I’m working on. And we began to speak of the power of Humanity! We began to speak of the beauty of the Human Factor in the world. The H-Factor as we call it. They began to ask questions as people began to gather. Our conversation shifted and the group grew to 7 from 1. I began to speak of the greatness that inherently rests deep within humanity begging for an environment for release. I began to speak of the different systems in the world that have told people that their ideas, plans, stories, and beauty are not desired in the world. I began to explain that the H-Factor cannot be held down forever. That while people can be held down for a time the greatness in each of is begging for release and it will find a way out in our day jobs or our side hustles. The greatness that is humanity will rise and cry out for the world to hear, and when they hear it they will realize the opportunity that they have missed. I shared that their greatness may rest in business, the arts, social good, or any of thousands of areas but it will come out one day and when it does lean into the moment and let the greatness create a lasting impact on the world at large. As I “Held Court” it was like a light bulb came on in the eyes of the people in the room. People stood tall and shifted how they sat in their chairs. A pride in whom they are beginning to shine. Regardless of race, creed, education, age, or gender they came alive as permission to be great was granted. If we want to achieve last success we must give our teams permission to fail and permission to great things!
Today, I give you permission to unleash your greatness!
