COURSERA - offers Ivy League courses and I have been choosing to spend my spare time to pick the courses that seem savoury to me ! How do I choose ? I make a self-assessment about my calibre and do a training need assessment . The skills I think I lack or I need to improve upon , are chosen . And you know what ?

You will have fun doing the need assessment and then logging into COURSERA , making your account and then going ahead to choose courses . It is exciting and fun because , you see names like WHARTON , HARVARD , YALE AND STANFORD ! All free courses !

If you want a certificate , you will need to pay a chicken-feed paltry amount !

If you were wondering why World Famous Universities are Online offering free courses - they make some minimum amount of money , they can contribute to the world-wide movement of inclusive education for students of all calibre , they also make their own brand names popular worldwide and the professors become household names . If you are doing a Course ? Plus they figure that , if you are doing an online course , chances are that , you are someone who wanted to do a Campus Course too but cannot afford it .

They have a choice for exactly that too ! You pay a big amount that is much higher than the COURSERA course but much less than a regular on campus course . This course will combine a format that is divided into online and on Campus ! What an innovative step ! You would choose for yourself or - your son or daughter - or your parents , who never got to do highest quality courses because they were busy making money for the family .

Yesterday , I recorded a Skype Video assignment with two other students from Pakistan and India on a Case that we all do . I shall edit the one hour negotiation to 5 minutes ! That is , in itself , something I am doing for the first time in my life !

We interact with real life students from a worldwide list of countries, form study groups , study together, help each other and if we pass - we get a certificate !

You know what ? The course is the actual first year paper that on Campus MBA students have to undertake ! This is real-time Yale curriculum adopted for the online format !
