Are you making your routine good for you?
Every day, in my early hours of work, I have a routine that I follow and that helps me a lot in the performance of my day.
I wake up at 4 in the morning, usually, sometimes I wake up at 2, when I sleep at 8 at night.
I got into the habit of sleeping and waking up early, primarily because I work very well in the middle of the night, then because I have been working for more than 10 years with markets like China, which in Brazil has a 10 hour time difference, I ended up adapting very well to Sleep early and wake up very early. There is still an important detail in my workings, I need a few hours of sleep every day to connect automatically with the world. Quite different from people I know who need 8 to 10 hours of sleep per night to connect to the world.
That ends up making my life pretty nice. Because sleeping less I think I am a privilege and not a problem, because I went through a psychiatrist, who informed me, after several tests, that I am "normal".
At 5 am, an hour after waking, I already have my mind fully connected and I can start my work day.
This 1 hour I use to meditate, to pray, to talk with me, to establish rational goals in my life, I think in my personal side not to lose my identity, I need this connection with me so that all the rest works well.
From this, my mind is ready and released to create and strategically plan every step our company will take in the next few days.
I confess, I do not really like long-term planning, because I understand that everything is changing from one day to the next, and I prefer to set some goals, but always leave open to sudden changes and adaptation to planning.
By living in a country like Brazil, which for me after almost 28 years as an entrepreneur, I still believe that it is the best place in the world, both to live and to undertake, I end up adapting to instabilities that other entrepreneurs of other cultures may not adapt so well.
Therefore, it is much easier when we adapt quickly to change.
