Are you taking this BIG RISK?
Overworking is the biggest risk you are taking without realizing it.
Low sleep, uneven meal timings, no exercise, sedentary lifestyle, unnecessary stress, and no time for family and friends.
Many people wear these as a badge of honor for many years - especially during their youth.
While working towards our career goals we sacrifice our mental and physical health.
As someone who has done this mistake I can tell you for sure that this is the worst mistake you will ever make and 100% regret it in the later stages of your life.
Very soon - You will run out of physical and mental energy and stamina.
This is the biggest risk you are taking with yourself and must be stopped.
Stop glamourizing overworking.
Start your morning with meditation and gratitude prayers - follow it with exercise & yoga.
Target to achieve a minimum of 10000 steps per day - walk, jog, cycle - do something.
Please spend enough time and attention with your loved ones - every day - you never know when will it be your last day with them.
To best manage your time - put everything you want to do in a calendar (I use Google calendar) - start with exercise, breakfast, lunch, tea time, family time, personal time, dinner, book reading, etc, and then the work related events/tasks.
All this I realized very late in my life - but you can follow early and reap the compounding benefits for the rest of your life.
These lifestyle and habit changes will not only result in better personal relationships and happiness BUT also empower you to perform and achieve extraordinarily.

3yAbility to prioritize and using efficiency enabling tools, including teamwork, to manage ones professional and personal life goes a long way in having a decent work life balance. In my opinion, the human mind and body are capable of handling the tasks that come ones way as you move the paces of professional ladder along with the responsibilities that come along in the personal life. Physical fitness, patience and perseverance being important ingredients, moral courage and well being is the key, for it gives you a good night's sleep and allows one to keep going. Its the motivation and purpose / aim that brings the fire in you and keeps one propelled at different stages of life. For sure, keep your family along as you happily & safely drive through life's journey.

3yRatnesh Jain , you are right. The Reward needs to justify The Risk ... many of us are taking the Risk out of Habit / Compliance to behavioral Patterns around us because the consequence ( pain / gain ) is a ' little ' distant in the future.

3yI wouldn't call it a mistake. It is a rite of passage on the professional front, nothing else. How many of us also credit that effort for success we enjoy much later? "Mistake" is thus a label given with the benefit of hindsight. Yes, not having a balance can be unhealthy in the long run, but calling it a "mistake" may get people to not do anything at all which may become a regret later.
