Are You on Track to Hit Your Mark this Year?

Are You on Track to Hit Your Mark this Year?

June 1st is here. Can you believe it? Even though summer doesn’t officially arrive until June 20, most of us “kick-off summer” during the Memorial Day weekend. And of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to pause and say thank you once more for all the veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy freedom today . . .

So in about 29 days half of 2016 is going to be gone. Are you on track with your goals, new year’s resolutions, one-word, etc. for this year? If you don’t know, take a moment and reflect on the last five, soon-to-be-six months. Are your numbers where they need to be? Are you closer to achieving your dreams/resolutions for this year? Are you on track with your one-word?

Regardless, here are a few suggestions to ensure you hit your mark;

  1. Have an accountability partner; we all need to be held accountable!
  2. Look at your goals then look at what you have done thus far. If what you are doing is taking away from you achieving your goals, well, you know what to do!
  3. Don’t make excuses if you are passionate about your goals; instead, set a plan and stick with it!
  4. Weekly or even daily, track your progress! Don’t wait until six months then wonder where you are with your progression.
  5. Don’t fear! You still have six months to accomplish what you set out to do this year! If you are using goals, and I certainly hope you are, don’t forget to ensure they are S.M.A.R.T. goals: Specific; Measurable;  Attainable;  Relevant;  Time-bound.
