Your 1-Minute Introduction That Wins [FREE Download and Video]!

Hi. My name’s Andy.

I’m a career coach.

I help people find the right jobs and thrive in them.

I do other stuff too.

Oh. You actually want me to tell you about myself?

Well, it started in 1966…

Oy!

Introduce yourself much? In a meeting? At a networking event?

How about in a job interview?

Yes! Let’s do that one today. In an interview.

Ever have difficulty with this?

How much? How little? Where to start? When to stop?

It IS important for you to nail this Goldilocks-style.

And, the reason introducing yourself is difficult is because it’s SO NOT about how well you know yourself.

It’s actually about how well you know the person you’re introducing yourself to!

Can I get a kaboom on that?

I’m talkin’ ‘bout the style of introduction that’s the “tweener” between the one-sentence elevator pitch and the full-blown “walk me through your résumé.”

You have one minute. What would you say?

Don’t laugh at what I’m about to say next.

I have a full-on 49-minute session for you so you can boil down exactly who you are into one minute.

Yes, it’s that important to me to make sure you know exactly WHY and HOW.

It’s so important for me to show you exactly what this looks like so I begged beloved #BOOTCAMPERS Flavia and Oneil to surrender their resumes to you and let me showcase how I would introduce them.

It’s so important that I reverse engineered a 7-point formula so you can plug and play.

All that apparently takes 49 minutes!

Yes, I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of funny comments on my channel from people (not you, Andrew) who say….

”Hey dude, WTH? A 49-minute video for something that takes me one minute to say?”

To which, your beloved Coach will write back…

Yes. I shoot videos for people who like to know why, what, the mistakes, and more.

Then I like to go all in with my witty repartee and blurt on…

I’m sure Usain Bolt ONLY spent 9.58 seconds practicing to run his 9.58-second 100-meter dash.

Or, I’m sure the designer of that book cover only spent one second designing it because people only give the cover one second of attention. Amiright?!?!

It’s a hoot. Really. LOL!

You know what else is a hoot?

Getting job offers with big paydays.

Let’s get the intro started now…

It’s my introduction formula.

There is it. No waiting. No fuss. And, no confusion as to who you are and why that new company should hire you on the spot.

It’s my formula, but make it your own.

Remember, like I often tell you, any dumpy coach can give you the steps.

Heck, a lot of coaches copy MY steps and give them to others.

It’s not now nor ever my intention to teach you stuff and have you do every single step the exact way I say because I think I know best.

It IS my hope to give you the steps and INSPIRATION and CONFIDENCE to undertake life with vigor.

Get out there and tackle something you might not otherwise have pursued had you not heard (or read) my words.

Or, even if it’s something you “have to” tackle, to do it with more confidence and gusto.

Whenever you want to take on a challenge, here me say, “You got this. You can. Just take the first step. I know you can figure it out. If you stumble, pop by on a Thursday. I’ll be there. If you don’t quit you, I won’t quit you.”

Where ever you are in life right not, I hope you avoid saying or thinking, “I can’t wait ‘til this is over.”

I’d never want you to wish any time away.

Each moment and situation IS a gift IF you look at it that way.

Make sure you are gaining the benefits of whatever you’re experiencing by looking for the reason you NEEDED to go through this.

Someday, you’ll look back and know exactly why it had to happen that way.

I hope I’m still a part of your life when you do.

For now, let’s wrap up 2023 and kick off 2024 in style!

Hope you've enjoyed the newsletter.

See you next year!

Andy
