If your business takes over your life its an ego game

If your business takes over your life its an ego game

Happy Thursday Folks,

I don't know how many of you feel the same way I do. Sometimes it seems, we are living in a world where the ego game is promoted over the real soul aligned business.

Everyone is talking about mindfulness, being aligned with your vision, manifesting your dream life and so on, still, we are stuck in the ego game - the run for the biggest, boldest, most groundbreaking company there is.

I feel these days, it's a shift happening in that direction, silently and slowly. As well through the advance of tech, as now only the extraordinary ideas or better the soul aligned ideas and ventures thrive and eventually will survive.

For some this might sound a bid too harsh, or even might touch upon an open wound of the ego. I don't mean to hurt anybody, I just feel I should address the taboo nobody dares to talk about openly. I'm doing this by opening part of my story, so stay tuned, to learn more and I pray that at least for one person reading this, it is a silver lining - maybe for more and potential some might as well reconsider and hit reset to start over.

The real truth Social Media and People in the Startup Bubble make you believe

When you are an entrepreneur, it's all about the right place the right time. It's about meeting the right people. Having the money you need. Access to the right investors, sponsors and promoters. Attend and be awaited to events as speaker, pitches and be always on the ball.

Have a great team of founders, supporters and fans to grow your community fast.

Protect your business idea, don't share it too fast, too early or too much of it.

Always watch your back, when you talk to people that try to steal your idea and better constantly work on it without taking any break.

You might miss an opportunity in the blink of an eye and it's gone.

So better jump on anything and everything to be there as it could be always the right time, the right place, the right moment.

And, be always super prepared. Have your pitch ready, long, short, high speed, right form, use adequate language and try to impress the people with money.

And pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch.

Never give up! Just keep on moving, somehow, move, learn, adapt, listen to the advises of others. If one advisor isn't helpful, get a new one, try to get there with all your power.

Well, this is not all wrong, but neither is it all you have to do. Those of you who might have been or are in this state, now what I'm talking about. It's exhausting and it is most-likely not bringing the results you want or only a fraction of it. Until you get there you burn money, friendships, relationships, and most importantly move away from your true mission.

Booom! Bummer, right. Yes, I've worked in that space for more than 20 decades, being an entrepreneur. Yes, I know exactly what I've been doing and what I now write here about. Because, I've been through exactly that.

Investing tons and tons and tons of my own money. Having investors in, paying the debt of companies I was CEO and Co-Founder in with my own money, with my own time, with my own power. I've invested tons and tons of time, money in these ventures. My own, others, taking on responsibility that was not mine and therefore it did not come to the expected outcome.

Until, what's the point of doing all that - if the result is not 0 but -XXX?

Some might come to the conclusion, well, entrepreneurship is not for me, or I did something wrong, or I did not work hard enough or missed the opportunity, that could have, would have, should have put me on the road of success.

BS. Wow, this one is pretty straight forward, I feel that while writing it. But I feel some of you might need this, my experience, to cut the cord before you lose too much. And it's not a pity party - I'm taking you on my journey for this reason, to spread hope - and I hope I do.

Showing up is sometimes not helping - when you're off track, it will crumble and fall eventually.

The list of questions every business leader and entrepreneur or thought leader should go through with an open heart

Challenge for you my dear friends. Sit down and take a piece of paper and answer this particular question honestly. That might take a while, because our ego is so f***ing great in talking us into that illusion we do it for sustainability, changing the world, making it better, saving the industry, being a hero.

Here comes the set of questions:

WHY do you aspire to do/be what you do/be?

WHY do you think it is YOU to take on this role?

Is WHAT you are currently doing compensating for something?

WHAT was the initiator to start this business?

Was it your NEED to find a solution?

WHO are you doing that for what you do?

WHO are you dedicating your mission to?

WHICH signs/people pointed you in a different direction, and when?

WHICH signs/people confirmed you to do what you do?

WHERE did you change your plan out of logic, and WHICH PLACES/TOPICS/INDUSTRIES are always coming back to you?

HOW much money did you invest in things/places/businesses/people that you did not benefit from? BE CONCRETE AND HONEST! -

I give you an example, how easily we are trapped here and how business and private and wealth are linked.

If it was the wrong car or fashion piece you bought - that does not count, since you wore it and had a benefit from it. BUT when you bought a fashion piece or a car for somebody else to win their love or get their commitment or attention and it was not 'received' well. It was an investment in a relationship - that did not pay off. Hard, but true! And if - like in some cases, this money you invested to keep a relationship alive results in a divorce, with a law suit involved suing you for even more, well, than there is something that definitely was the wrong investment and there is evidence, that you like to hurt yourself and there needs something to be healed. - It's not that awful ex or psycho you attracted - it's your ego game, performing at it's best.

It might take some time. You might feel, you're writing the same things over again. But when you open yourself up to find the truth (this happens best through a mentor/coach, somebody who went this road before) you'll be amazed.

This is part of my The 10 Figure CEO 60 Day private intensive - I guide you through the process in an accelerated way. On your own it takes you years and a lot of heartache and burning money - believe me.

It's not the 10k or 200k I'm talking about - it's millions! And if you call into equation one of my best friend's advice, who is a brilliant investor - all the money you burn is loss times 10. So think about that and be honest and do the math, to get you healed and on your soul-aligned mission to step into wealth and make a difference investing your time and money in the right things.

You might ask, well, but I'm not an entrepreneur, and experience that the same way. Well, if you are not an entrepreneur and experiencing it the same way, you are an entrepreneur in the company or industry you're at. Remember - we're all CEOs of our life. It's just for entrepreneurs, owners, CEOs more connected, as your existence is built on you. Nobody - no boss or company - is stepping in for you. You are all by yourself.

My ego game in tech startup

I can tell you today: being a founder of tech startups was an ego game. The set of questions you find here as one of the set of tools - and asking questions is only a starting point, the work starts after you have the first level of the answer, that's wh I came up with this program, to make it easier for you.

I founded companies, invested in companies, invested in relationships and people, because my ego was taken over and preventing me to believe in my calling. I had the calling into being the leader for those CEOs to their true mission already years back, as a student. I was called in to coach and my coaching planted small seeds, that helped the individual business leader to transform, grow and take on the challenge they were running away from. After I ignored it as a profession to make money, and got into first tech consulting than startup life, my dating life, was taking on that part. I was dating people and while doing that confronting, challenging and some even helping to start or continue on their healing journey. So it was not meant to be romantic, it was the call I was not following, but continuously again investing time, money, into something without a purpose in my own soul journey. What is the purpose FOR ME, is the question. We can run a business with a purpose - let's say providing new tech to people with chronic diseases, reduce Co2 emission, revolutionize shared economy, contribute to clean future mobility, but if it is not OUR MISSION - it will ultimately not work out. It's not us, it's just not our purpose here. Booom! And this has nothing to do with 'I'm not worth it, or I don't deserve the success. It's again the ego who's so f***ing strong and needs a lesson to really get out of our way!!

I coached and guided myself and people I met, invested in, startups I supported, invested in, people I dated, invested in, I cracked the code - so to speak to identify with you your unique wealth blueprint - you don't have to burn millions or waste time. This sounds like one of these oracles, but it the truth. I found the secret formula. And you don't have to trust me, the only person you have to trust, is YOU, YOURSELF, your inner child and your superpower.

You safe a lot of pain, heartbreak, costs, law suits if you do and with the method I developed you can do this much much faster. It took me years.

And funny enough, the minute I started considering it to bow out in gratitude for that journey and with no resentment but really in honor for the experience of these 20 years in tech - the most amazing things happened. The universe took over and without me doing much, led to a smooth end of this era, this journey and opened new ways to really see the future in leading the CEOs who want to come back to their soul aligned mission and creating and supporting beautiful cinematic art.

Which is so amazing, since I had the calling to film production, performing and music ever since I can imagine. I grew up basically in the spotlight - but this is a story for another time - but case in point: I always loved the stage. But my ego told me - no, that's not for you. You are not creative, you can't be one of the few making money with it. So, I went the solid way of making money in consulting, entrepreneurship until, my soul calling was much much bigger and I couldn't hold it back anymore. And interestingly enough, I'm going back to my 4 year old self, more and more, seeing what she wanted, dreaming what she dreamed about, and allowing it to show-up more and more in her life.

And this means, to let go and cut off what is not part of this new identity anymore, and this is the tricky part about trusting in yourself, because this is not based on your degrees (potentially) or your professional experience. All of that will help you for sure - but the essence of it is inside of you. The reason why we stagnate and why the life is not evolving (business and private) like we want it, is exactly because we don't trust the inner power. Sleeping, invisible, sometimes without reason, it's there. Life is full of miracles and signs, so beautiful.

Thursday to plant the seed for your vision

Thursday is the perfect day to visualize, to plant the seed for a new future you. According to greek philosophers and astrologers Jupiter - the god of expansion - rules Thursdays. Even if you don't believe in astrology, just see my newsletter as a call to action and get moving in the direction which is you and no longer what your ego keeps on telling you.

If you are interested in learning more, please send me a dm. I'll pick-up on the topic in my podcast as well in the next episode, as in my opinion, nobody is really talking about that. And honestly, even if we say and pretend, it's not about the money, or we are not after the money - be honest with yourself. Sure it is at some point about the money, the freedom, the love, the status. If you deny this - you deny your inner child's wishes. To a certain extend, money is love - but this is again another topic for a future newsletter.

I leave you with this homework, task, challenge, gold nugget and preparing a matcha.

Enjoy the ride.

Love goes out!

Danny
