Thousands of churches worldwide practice some form of church eldership because they believe it to be a biblical teaching. Unfortunately, many of them have an inaccurate view of the Bible’s teaching on elders. So they have elders but not biblical elders.
Biblical Eldership Resources (BER) was started and has grown based on Paul's instructions to Timothy, “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2).
The Bible has a specific message for churches about biblical church leadership: shared leadership by a team of qualified, Spirit-appointed elders. What started as a literature ministry has grown into one of the leading online training tools that exists to equip elders and church leaders to establish biblical leadership through education and training.
BER uses the internet to educate and train present and future generations of local church elders across the world. All the instructional material on the website is rooted in Bible exposition. This unique website, combined with the publishing ministry already has a widespread influence throughout the world and can have a long-term, lasting impact on leaders and churches in the future through:

School of the Shepherds online training program
A return to the biblical teaching on church eldership is a growing movement.
Today, this is going on all over the world. The School of the Shepherds is being translated into numerous languages and groups of men from Asia, India, Africa, South America, the Caribbean, and many other locations are using the School of the Shepherds program to develop current and future leaders.
