Your Hands are all over this One!

Top of the weekend my friends! The wildly humorous Canadian prognosticator Red Green stated: If you can’t be handsome be handy!!

Someone who's handy is skilled and clever, especially when it comes to making or fixing things. Now generally this principle suggests it’s a “Man” thing. Right?

Hold your horses honey! I’m talking to you next!!!

This week first impressions may show up where you least expect it. Lurking right around the corner may be a user friendly feeling of companionship.

“He may not come when you want him, but he’s right on time. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed”. This quote from John 20:29 has a lovely double meaning.  Where the spiritual meets the physical.

"Your hands are all over this one”? For instance, you're handy in the kitchen? How many times have you blessed another “no strings” attached?

They say the way to a man’s heart is thru his stomach. Psychologists say that is only partially true. Can food be the wonderful introduction? Yep! However do you listen before you speak? Do you compliment or mostly complain? Can you make each other laugh? How encouraging are you?  In order to get a blessing you got to be blessing.  Remember you reap what you sow!

How hands on are you?

The “Handy Man” will always be there in times of need. While the "Handy Woman’s" speech is her most important tool. It’s the ingredient in creating that comfortable feeing of kinship. Is your hands all over this one?

Don’t miss that, men tend to have a more physical approach to showing affection. While women tend to embrace a more of spiritual sentimentality. God lends a helping hand to both of those who try hard. It’s that whole walking by faith thing.  Okay here's where I get all touchy feely.

Why does holding hands feel so good?

Multiple studies — including one conducted at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) — show that human touch triggers the release of oxytocin, aka “the love hormone,” in our brain. Oxytocin is a neurotransmitter that increases feelings of trust, generosity and compassion, and decreases feelings of fear and anxiety.

According to Harvard Professor Charles Nelson, adults who don’t receive regular human touch develop a condition called skin hunger or touch hunger . They are more prone to suffer from mental and emotional maladies like depression and anxiety disorders.

One way or another we need to know how to arouse traits that first meet our companionship needs. Are your hands all over this one”?

The most daring course of action is to keep making a good impression. We all have bad days but don’t let bad days own you. The strongest of emotions is one with that lovely double meaning “Where the spiritual meets the physical”!
