Your Money Mindset

Your Money Mindset

What is your Money Mindset?

"I don't know enough investors"

"I don't know where the capital is hiding out"

"I don't understand the different capital types available to me to stack into my venture"

"No one taught me how fundraising works"

"I don't have a capital sherpa guiding me to summit the K2 that is my startup"

"I feel overwhelmed by all the decisions I have to make to ready my startup for being funding ready"

"Capital will fix all my startup problems, if I could just raise"

"Some days I feel pretty uncertain on next steps, or that I have what it takes"

"No one told me building a startup would be filled with so much pressure and heavy loneliness."

"I feel like the game of capital is rigged and I don't know the rules"

Any of these sound familiar?

Do you know the antidote to all of these?

You.

Your willingness to look at yourself and your responsibility as the solution to each and every challenge you are yet to overcome.

You can't even help it, even if you tried.

It oozes out of your words.

The words you choose show me everything you believe.

Especially when questioned or challenged.

If I want to find out what you truly believe,

All I have to do is ask you. Or press you a little bit.

I am not listening just to what you say, but how you say it.

Do the things you say reveal that success is inside of your control or do the words you say show me that you believe they sit outside of your influence and control?

Your words reveal everything to me about your mindset.

They show me your relationship to money.

Money is energy. It flows to those who value it most as well.

I want to see if you are buddies.

I have heard founders and even investors tell me they hate fundraising.

Is it rocket science to think that founders who are energetically resistant to raising going to struggle the most?

Take a moment to pause and ask yourself what you believe.

Do you truly believe you are going to raise the capital you need for your startup?

Really sit with it.

Do you believe that their are hundreds of investors that would love to invest with you?

Do you believe that there are trillions of dollars sitting in bank accounts wanting to move to you?

If you don't believe it, you will never SEE it.

Believing precedes seeing.

Only everytime.

Entrepreneurship is the game of creating first in the mind.

Then operating and executing till it becomes reality in the material world.

You will never play the game if you can't get real with yourself about this.

A huge part of being a fundraising fluent founder is knowing how your energy annouces yourself when you walk into the room and everytime you pitch.

You control your mindset, and with it the energy you bring to bear on your venture to birth it into creation.

If you have ever felt any of the opening statements,

It's entirely understandable. We have all been there.

This is why we build community.

You are not alone.

Think of us as your capital sherpas, no one should climb alone.

So don't go raise alone.

Every week we meet online with founders from all over the world to level up around the things that make us stellar Raisers and practice Pitch Kung Fu. Link in the comments below.

See you there tomorrow.

I think our relationship with money, our money mindset, is much akin to our general outlook on life. I’m a person who’s full of hope. I honestly believe my future is bright. Because of this, I see money, in plenty or in lack, in a positive mindset. I knew my money was lurking about somewhere and was within my reach. Sure enough. It was sitting in plain sight!

Kurt Walker🌶 Very insightful. Thank you for sharing
