1. In astrology , a horoscope is composed by two group of planets and they are Anukul planets & Pratikul planets. Anukul planets give good & auspicious results in one’s life while the pratikul planets give malefic results full of panic & sorrows. Now a question arises that what should be done to pacify the malefic effect of pratikul Planets. In astrology there are several tips and systems explained for pacifying the malefic effects of Pratikul Planets. Here I shall explain some.

2. Saturday (samedi in French) is ruled by Saturn.

3. Saturn=Lord Bhairav Nath.Similarly for pratikul Saturn one should worship lord Bhairav Nath.

4. If Saturn is ill placed i.e pratikul in a horoscope then one should take fasting on Saturday. One should donate mustard or teel oil in a iron utensil. One should strictly avoid intake of liquor i.e. alcohol instead he can donate it in God Bhairav Nath’s Temple. One should give water in the root of Shami plant daily.

5. If Saturn is ill placed i.e pratikul then one should recite one mala of saturn’s beej mantra ,” Om pram prim praum sah shanaisharaya namah” daily in the evening.

6. Saturn can represent a state of ignorance, being born from the Sun’s wife Chaya- a shadow. The Saturday Night Fever rite of getting blind drunk represents a move to the dark side of Saturn where its lessons are lost. To gain from Saturn’s enlightening aspect astrology recommends the following: Wear some dark colours (balanced with some light) Vow to do something positive at a regular time Take care of the elderly or infirm Address health issues regarding the bones, teeth, legs, rectum Wear hessonite garnet (Rahu’s stone- another Saturday planet) Undertake a pious activity or penance Reflect on impermanence and universal suffering Bring closure to things and accept deaths. Reduce travel and follow a routine Saturday marriages are testing but rewarding if unconditional love prevails. Tibetans regard Saturday auspicious for building, moving to a new place, longevity rituals, agriculture, buying animals, astrology, purchasing food and funerals.

7. Briefing the Nature of the Planet Saturn is symbolic of cruelty and irritations in life for people. It is adverse in nature. It originates apprehensions of chronic diseases, accidents, enmity, financial crisis, depression of mind and retardation in business. Donating a piece of copper to a Dakot (A Person who accepts the offerings forwarded on Shani Dev) on Saturday will reduce ill effects of Saturn. Donating in charity, Mustard oil on any Saturday to a Dakot will appease Saturn Planet. Wearing blue sapphire on any Saturday on the middle finger after testing its suitability is considered to bring favours of Saturn. Once worn on any Saturday, the ring should be continuously worn for a long time. Offering Mustard oil and Black Flowers in Hawan (Fire Sacrifice) will also add the favour of Saturn. 8. Fasting on Saturday: Fasting is done to pacify the planet Saturn .The fast should be started from the first Saturday of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshta. The number of fastings is 19 Saturdays. Donating black clothes to the poor is advised. Bija mantra of Saturn is recited for 108 times and Havana is performed at the end. Urad dal can be had as a food during fasting before sun set. Worship of Lord Venkateshwara and Sri Hanuman nullifies the evil effects of the planet Saturn. Fasting on Saturday for Rahu: Fasting is taken on Saturdays for the planet Rahu too . Fasting is observed for 18 Saturdays which should be started in the first Saturday of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshta. Bija mantra of Rahu is recited for 108 times and Havana is performed. Worship of Goddess Shri Durga gives the good results.

Shani Puja is done to appease planet Saturn. Grah Shanti Shani Pooja (Worship of Saturn) is sought for mental peace and to get rid of various diseases. Following things are associated with Shani (Saturn). In Vedic astrology, the planet Saturn is called Shanaishwara. Saturn is regarded as an emaciated God with long physique, big teeth and tawny eyes. Shani is indolent and lame. The temperament or nature of Shani is airy. Saturn is considered to be a malefic graha. It is believed that Shani can make a person, a king or a beggar according to the native's deeds (karmas). Shani Pooja - Worship Of Saturn Shani Puja or worship of Saturn mitigates the hardships one will have to face during bad times. Shani Puja is also recommended to people who have Saade Sati of Shani in their horoscope. One is advised to recite the following Shani Mantra facing the west, to minimize the evil influence of afflicted Saturn. "Aum Aing Hring Shring Shung Shanaishcharaye Namah: Aum" One can observe fasts on Saturdays and can take Khichri (made of rice and black urad daal), after the sunset. Saturn bestows all benefits to the devotees who pray sincerely to him. Position of Shani- The Saturn Shani is most powerful in the 7th house. Saturn rules over the two sidereal signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Shani exalts in Libra and falls in the sign of Aries. Saturn is particularly a beneficial planet for Taurus and Libra Ascendants. Saturn is the slowest moving planet as it takes 30 months or 2.6 years in each Rashi and completes one cycle in 30 years. Transit of Shani can cause problems from Govt., peers, wife, children, slowdown in business, loss of property and leprosy etc. Significance of Shani Shani (Saturn) is an indicator of longevity, misery, sorrow, old age and death, discipline, restriction, responsibility, delays, ambition, leadership and authority, humility, integrity, wisdom born of experience. Saturn is regarded as a planet of darkness which rules over the dark side of human nature, such as the conscience (awareness of right and wrong). Saturn is regarded to be both a giver as well as destroyer. A person who sincerely prays to Shani is blessed not only with removal of the problems and worries, but a life that one desires.
